Kutoa Chicken

This handmade chicken is full of provision!  Named with the Swahili word for give, the proceeds from the sale of these chickens will go towards helping us build a flock of our own farm animals at Grain of Rice Academy. Each chicken has been created using scraps of yellow mudcloth and cream canvas. This decor piece will surely be a great conversation starter about the impact it makes in Kenya.

Employing sustainable practices has always been part of our mission. Our chefs use over 500 eggs each month when preparing nourishing meals for our 160 students and 25 staff members.  Having chickens, goats and other farm animals will allow us to continue to move towards greater sustainability as an organization
